Dr Quinton Yang
Dr Quinton Yang is Consultant General Cardiologist with strong enthusiasm for advocating of patient-centred care, engaging with and educating patients across all facets of their cardiovascular health.
Quinton completed six years of medical training at the University of New South Wales, graduating with academic honours. Additionally, he completed his internship, residency and physician’s training at St George and Sutherland Hospitals in Sydney, alongside three other regional hospitals.
While located in rural NSW, Dr Yang heavily practised cardiovascular medicine as a means of promoting the issue of health literacy, access, and preventive medicine. In 2018, Dr Yang completed further training in cardiology working in Sydney at the Sutherland Hospital, followed by three years at the Canberra Health Services. During this time, he was awarded the 2019 Dr William Coupland Award for best physician trainee by the Canberra Hospital. Today, Quinton is a valued member of the Canberra cardiology department, providing comprehensive insight into the delivery of healthcare services in Canberra, Queanbeyan, and Goulburn.
His larger goal is to equalize cardiovascular care across both local and regional areas, providing digital health services for patients diagnosed with coronary artery disease, cardiac failure and patients with chronic breathlessness.
