Dr Sean Heywood
MBBS, MS, FRACS
Dr Heywood is a Urologist based out of Canberra. He began his medical career as a Junior Doctor in Canberra, before undertaking further urological training at Port Macquarie, John Hunter, Westmead, Blacktown, and Nepean Hospitals. He offers general urological services with a special interest in uro-oncology. Having established his practice in Canberra, Sean has now extended his services to the Goulburn region. He will be consulting at Goulburn Specialist Centre, and will also be operating at Goulburn Base Hospital. Sean is a highly organised and patient focused Urologist, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. He approaches his work with thoughtfulness, always keeping the needs of his patients at the forefront of his mind. With a key focus on finding the best outcomes for his patients, Sean is always finding ways to further support their care and better their well-being. Sean is committed to supporting his referrers and is always happy to assist with any pre- or post-referral enquiries. Dr Ankur Dhar
MBBS, MS, FRACS, FUSANZ
Dr Ankur Dhar is an Australian-trained urologist based in Sydney with an interest in uro-oncology, robotic surgery, kidney stones, prostate conditions, and general urology. He completed his medical training and urology training in NSW before undertaking an accredited Uro-Oncology Fellowship at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital (United Kingdom). During this time, he gained extensive experience in robotic and open surgery for prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and bladder cancer, as well as advanced robotic reconstructive urology. He is privileged to work in the public system at Goulburn Base Hospital and Canterbury Hospital in Sydney, and several private hospitals in Sydney including Norwest, Westmead and Strathfield Private. He works with Jennifer, an experienced Urology Nurse Practitioner, who can also review patients with continence issues, suspected urological cancers and catheter issues. They are also working to bring uroflow, flexible cystoscopy and urodynamics studies to patients in Goulburn to offer a comprehensive urological service to local residents. They offer in person and telehealth for selected patients. They are committed to providing compassionate, personalised, and evidence-based care combined with latest medical and surgical advances for patients with urological cancers, kidney stones, and prostate conditions.
